Miss Louisiana's Outstanding Teen 2012 is Deon Sumer. She is the daughter of Leslie LeCoq and Ron Sumer. Deon has participated in many leadership roles including: Zachary High School Beta president, Zachary High class 2013 treasurer 2011, and Louisiana Beta Vice President. She has many accomplishments, such as Zachary High School homecoming maid 2010 and 2012, Zachary High School majorette award 2010-2012, MA soloist award winner 2010 and 2011.

Deon plans to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and will major in Mass Communications.
