As an animal handler, Julie has worked
in the Columbus Zoos Promotions Department for the
past 15 years. Like her dad, Jack Hanna, who is Director
Emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and host of Jack Hannas
Animal Adventures and Into the Wild, Julie helps to educate
people about the importance of conservation through a
hands-on approach. Through her international travels,
she has seen firsthand the importance of taking care of
our wildlife, natural resources, and environment.
Julies inspiring passion for preserving our earths
magnificent wildlife is conveyed on her numerous appearances
for local TV stations. As an animal presenter for her
dad, Julie has appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman,
Good Morning America, Larry King Live, Maury Povich, On
the Record with Greta Van Susteren, Nancy Grace, Animal
Adventures, Into the Wild, and various Fox News programs.
Being a cancer survivor, Julie has been a spokesperson
for the Leukemia Society, Childrens Hospital, St.
Judes Radiothon, and the American Cancer Society.
She believes the greatest reward in life is knowing that
your life has made a difference in helping others, whether
it be people or animals.
In her free time, Julie enjoys traveling, working out,
and listening to country music.
