Talented, energetic and real are the three words the 2010
Miss Louisianas Outstanding Teen judges used to
best described Brooke Hotard. Hotard wowed the judges
with her talent, intelligence and beauty and walked away
with the title of Miss Louisiana Outstanding Teen 2010
in June.
Brooke Hotard is the youngest of three children of Dean
and Stacie Hotard from Port Allen, Louisiana. She is a
junior at St. Josephs Academy in Baton Rouge. Brooke
is the President of the Speech and Debate Team, Spanish
Club President and she was recently inducted into the
National Honor Society of America for her outstanding
academic achievements.
In her spare time, you can find this spunky 17-year-old
performing in various musical theatre venues from Baton
Rouge to Hammond or watching her favorite Disney Channel
shows.
When asked why she wanted to be Miss Louisianas
Outstanding Teen 2010, Brooke responded Being the
next Louisianas Outstanding teen 2010 would ensure
my voice and actions will be heard. I know I possess a
powerful voice with the dedication it takes to put my
words into actions.
The Hotard Family promotes the importance of Alzheimer
Awareness in their community. After her grandmother was
diagnosed with the disease Brooke and her older sister
Brandy took on the challenge educating and involving others
to raise much needed awareness and raise money for Alzheimer's
research.
After high school, Brooke plans to attend college and
pursue a degree in forensic psychology..
