There's a story behind everyone. Each one different than
the other, each one unique. Taylor Mathews was born on
October 10, 1991 in the city of Alexandria, Louisiana.
He's a dreamer just like anyone else in the world but
what he lacked for 12 years was a dream, a real tangible
dream. It wasn't until one mid-summers day in the month
of September that his life would change, forever.
He inherently found his passion for music by way of a
Fender Stratocaster that was handed down to him from his
dad. For the next 3 years he played that prized instrument
for nearly 8 hours a day and at times spent days without
eating. He would even find some way to cram himself in
the backseat of his dads car and play his guitar or he'd
pop in a soulful Marc Broussard cd and sing to it when
he played club soccer in Lafayette, Louisiana.
His guitar went with him everywhere he went and through
the years of pestering his friends with yet another tune
and playing for crowds of about 30 people in local coffee-shops
he landed himself on the nationally syndicated show America's
Got Talent making it to the Top 10 out of 100,000 acts
in the nation playing to more than 10 million people per
performance on the show and he continues to date touring
the country playing in such venues as The Colosseum in
Las Vegas, Nevada with respective fans from as far as
Ireland and Japan.
From being a small city boy of Alexandria to standing
strong under the bright lights of National Acclamation
in Hollywood, California he represents the very essence
to the phrase "if you can dream it, you can do it.".
