2002 AMGA Parade

The 2002 AMGA Parade will feature numerous massive floats with hundreds of revelers and several high school marching bands.

The Grand Marshal float, with Grand Marshal Eddy Raven, will be the lead float in the parade.

AMGA President Mark Watson will lead the revelers.

The 2002 AMGA Children's Parade is set to roll through Alexandria on Saturday, February 9 at 10 AM, with Courtney Haynes Grand Marshal.

This year's parade will consist of numerous festive units with masked riders and fire trucks, all tossing traditional beads, cups, and doubloons.  Providing the carnival atmosphere will be several area school bands. Beginning on Murray and 10th the parade will march through downtown ending at St. James with a performance stop at City Hall and one at River Oaks.

Parade coordinators are Lisa Neely, Mark Neely and Susan Menache. Children ranging in age from 5 to 18 can be in the parade.
