Update: Due to a commitment to his baseball team, Shag will be unable to attend the parade with his brother. Shag will be here in spirit to honor his Uncle Jimmy Williams.

Shag is the nephew of Jimmy Williams who was the 2012 second vice-president of the Alexandria Mardi Gras Association. He is currently a senior at Texas High School in Texarkana, Texas. Shag is an active member of the Student Council Leadership class in which he has participated in many local charity events. He is a member of the National Honor Society for High School Students as well as a member of the Society of National High School Scholars.

Shag also participates in the Theta Mu Society for Math students who are enrolled in advanced Math classes. He also helps in tutoring math students after school. He is a two year football and baseball letterman.

After graduation from Texas High, Shag hopes to earn a baseball scholarship and pursue a degree in Nursing.
